Description
The cart-shed at Glascrug is a 19th-century structure built from rubble stone, featuring squared rubble quoins and a close-eaved slate gabled roof. It has three wide, shallow-arched cart entries with stone voussoirs, which are separated by square stone pillars, and there are no windows above these entries. The left gable end includes a flight of stone steps leading up to a loft door, which is accessed from the front and has a boarded timber door with a small window on either side, all framed with stone voussoirs. To the left of the main structure, there is a low pigsty range with sties that open to the rear; this is also made of rubble stone and has a slate gabled roof, although much of it has been replaced with 20th-century corrugated asbestos. The roof slopes longer towards the front and has a shorter slope over the entries at the rear, which is obscured by vegetation. The end wall is plain. Inside the cart-shed, there are heavy beams supporting a boarded timber floor.
