Description

No. 6 Glanrafon in Llanwddyn is part of a planned symmetrical terrace consisting of four two-storey cottages and attached workshops. These buildings are constructed from uncoursed, slightly rock-faced local slate masonry and feature slate roofs, timber bargeboards, and red brick chimneys. The first and last cottages serve as crosswings for the group, each with gables at both the front and rear that project slightly. The second and third cottages have lower eaves, and their upper windows at the front and rear are designed as through-eaves dormers.

Each cottage includes a pair of 12-pane wood casements, which are separated by a stone mullion above and below. The upper windows are not aligned and are slightly smaller than the lower ones. These windows have stone sills and concrete lintels. The front door is a six-panel design, topped with a simple canopy supported by brackets.

The adjacent workshop has a similar design and is L-shaped, with its rear range featuring a hip roof, the hips dressed with metal. It has a pair of casements at the front that match those of the cottages. On the east elevation, there are double doors on the left, timber boarding above, a small hatch, a heck door, and a small-pane window.

The cottage to the right (east) of the terrace differs from the others by having a small window next to the door.
