Description

Nos. 1-4 (consecutive) Glyndu

A group of four similar but not quite identical cottages in a terrace, in irregularly coursed slate masonry with slate roofs. The designs are alternately handed. The left pair are slightly larger. Each pair has doors to the centre and chimneys to the outside. Four-panel doors with rectangular overlights and gabled canopies on timber brackets.

The left pair of cottages had mullion and transom windows, surviving in the left cottage; tripartite below with stone sills and plain stone lintels; above are approximately square oriel windows on brackets, with metal roofs.

The right pair of cottages has tripartite sash windows below with stone sills and plain lintels; approximately square four-pane sash windows above with stone sills and plain lintels.

No. 4 is the outer one of the larger pair, to the left of the terrace.
