Description

Lychgate Cottage is a 19th-century building featuring a box frame constructed in square panels with painted brick nogging and a slate roof. There is an axial brick stack located towards the left side of the cottage. The doorway is positioned against the stack, with two 2x2-light casement windows to its right. Additionally, there is a further doorway at the right-hand angle that leads to a later shop. The roof has two gabled dormers. The later shop, which is set back slightly to the right, includes a wide 12-paned shop window on the ground floor, typical of early 19th-century design, and an oriel window on the first floor of the gable return.
