This is a round-headed freestone mile marker, possibly re-set on a stone base, located adjacent to Wenallt / Drws y Coed on Tremont Road (A483). The marker is painted white and features black-painted carved letters that read 'Builth 8 Miles' and 'Newtown 26'.
