Garden and courtyard walls on W and SW side of Doldowlod House, (partly in Llanyre)

The garden and courtyard walls on the west and southwest side of Doldowlod House are Grade II listed. The L-shaped garden wall is attached to the northwest end of the house and is constructed of rubble stone with freestone coping. It features a square pier at the angle and similar gate piers that lead to the yard on the north side of the house. The wall extends along the northwest side, forming the boundary of the formal garden, and continues as a ha-ha made of rock-faced stone, oriented in a northwest-southeast direction, parallel to the front of the house. The ha-ha includes a slightly recessed gateway with square piers and wooden posts supporting a barred wooden gate. To the right are recently added steps that lead directly in front of the entrance to the house, and the ha-ha extends to the end of the formal garden, beyond which it continues as a rubble-stone field wall.
