Description
25 Bethel Street is a short three-storey terrace building dating from the 19th century. It features a symmetrical arrangement of one-window red brick fronts, a slate roof, brick chimney stacks, and wide boarded eaves. The small pane sash windows consist of 9 panes on the second floor, which rise up to the eaves, and 12 panes below, adorned with voussoirs. The entrance includes a six-panel door with a bracketed hood.
The left gable end is constructed of brick, with a brick wall beyond that encloses the northern side of the cobbled rear yard. There is a camber-headed entrance with double boarded gates. Attached to the terrace is a three-storey brick warehouse building. The rear of this building is whitewashed to the ground floor, with wide eaves continuing along this elevation and boarded doors. The adjacent buildings, Nos 22 and 23, extend further at the rear and feature modern glazing, with a cross range to No 22. There is also a range of toilets located at the rear of the courtyard.
Inside, there is a very narrow and steep staircase.
