Description
Bach House is a building that likely dates back to the 17th century, with enlargements made in the 18th century and a later refronting. It features a two-storey entrance front made of rubble, with a vertical joint and a plane pitched slate roof that has low end stacks and a projecting chimney breast on the left end. The house has modern large timber windows with casements and a timber-framed porch topped with a slate roof, which leads to a boarded door with a triangular head. The left (east) gable end retains timber-framing from two different periods, with brick infill; the lower section is a box-frame with close studding and angle braces above. The extending rear roof has a tall brick stack, indicating the original scale of the building before it was enlarged, and there is a lean-to extension that hugs the chimney breast.
