Description
Glandeg Farmhouse is a 19th-century building with a main elevation made of brick that has been painted to resemble a black and white timber frame. The façade consists of six bays and features a central wooden porch that is a single storey and constructed with pegs. At the rear, there is a two-bay wide projection that is two storeys high. The farmhouse has a slate roof, two brick chimney stacks, and six dormer windows. The dormers and porch are adorned with moulded barge boards that have a horse-shoe detail at the apex and tulip finials. The windows are three-light near-flush casements with glazing bars.
On the east gable end, there is an exposed heavy square frame from the 17th century, which includes brick nogging and a single casement window. The rear elevation continues the 17th-century frame for two bays before transitioning to the 19th-century brick projection. There is also a recent enclosed porch of framed construction at the angle.
The 17th-century range is noted for its stopped and bevelled beams and features a wide inglenook fireplace with a heavy wooden lintel.
