Description

Admiralty House is a two-storey brick house dating from the 19th century, featuring a slate roof. The brickwork is laid to create a distinctive diaper pattern using light and dark bricks. The house is set back behind a narrow forecourt with iron railings. The centrally planned facade includes a central doorcase with wooden reveals, decorated with Gothick lozenges on the frieze and a rectangular fanlight above. The entrance has a six-panelled door with fielded upper panels. There are five recessed twelve-paned wooden sash windows with glazing bars. A brick chimney stack is located at the west gable end, and the building has a rendered plinth and lintels.
