Description

Bryn-Gwyn is a building featuring painted render over stone rubble and a slate roof, with rendered chimneys. It has a nearly symmetrical elevation with a central door flanked by 16-pane sash windows. The upper floor contains three 12-pane sash windows, with the central one positioned off-centre relative to the door below. The windows are 20th-century reproductions of the originals. Attached to the right is a low range with two doors leading to a pair of brick vaulted cold stores. There is an extension at the rear, likely from the early 19th century. To the right, the remains of a walled kitchen garden can be found, along with a stone garden wall running in front of the house. To the left, there are two stone outbuildings, one of which may have been a former pigsty.

The house retains elements of its 18th-century plan, featuring a central passage from the front door with rooms on either side. At the rear, there is a staircase with simple reeded balusters. The front rooms of the house have panelled shutters.
