Description
The Old Parsonage is a two-storey building designed in a restrained Elizabethan style, featuring fine coursed masonry and a slate roof. It has stone parapets and kneelers at the gable ends, along with circular buff terracotta chimneys that are grouped for a picturesque effect. The building has a subrectangular plan with an L-shaped service range attached to the northwest side.
The main elevation faces south towards the church and is symmetrical, showcasing a central chimney that rises from the gable. A central first-floor stone oriel with a moulded base is flanked by 6-pane windows that have label moulds. The entrance is centrally located and includes an overlight, with tall tripartite windows on either side. The right-hand return elevation features a gabled design, with a window that has a label-mould on the upper floor and a bay window on the ground floor. The rear elevation has twin gabled roofs, while the service wing is a low range that partly encloses a courtyard at the back of the house.
The interior was not inspected during the 1997 survey.
