Description
Holy Trinity Church is a Grade II listed building that features a nave with a lean-to south aisle and a stepped down chancel with a vestry. The structure is built of rubble with freestone dressings and has a slate roof adorned with cresting and a gabled bellcote at the east end of the nave. There is a low gabled south porch, and near the east end of the aisle, a gabled organ chamber includes a stepped three-light window. A blocked arch on the east face of the organ chamber suggests a more ambitious chancel that was originally planned. The chancel has stepped three-light windows and a dated inscription, while the north side features alternating windows. The west end boasts a grander five-light window with a tall central lancet.
Inside, the church has an arcade supported by cylindrical piers with square uncut capitals, and an arched brace roof with stone brackets. The chancel arch is of two orders, leading to a canted boarded ceiling in the chancel. The interior includes Gothic furnishings and a painted reredos.
