Description
The monument at Rhaul, dated 1735, features a square section stone pedestal that supports a stone urn. The urn is adorned with acanthus leaf detailing and has a stone flame motif on the lid. The pedestal displays a coat of arms on the south face, while the west and east faces feature Latin inscriptions. The inscription on the east face, encircled by a carved snake with its tail in its mouth, includes the date 1735 and the initials AS and NG, which may refer to Nehemiah Griffiths, the builder of the nearby Alleluia Monument.
