Description

The Banquet House is a Grade II listed building constructed from roughly coursed and squared stone, topped with a renewed slate roof. It stands two stories high and was originally designed as a single unit. Around 1700, it was extended to include a second unit, which is triangular in shape to fit its corner location. The entrance is located to the left of center, featuring a 4-centred archway with a shield and date carved into the architrave, along with a drop-ended hood mould. There are three-light mullioned windows on either side of the doorway and above it, as well as similar windows in the gable end and at the rear. A lower wing to the northeast is a later addition. Inside, the building is reported to have several original features, including two fireplaces.
