Description

The agricultural range at Groes-Gwta is a long structure built of whitened rubble, topped with a slate roof that has a tiled ridge. It features wooden framed openings with old boarded and stable doors. On the left side, there is a brewhouse section with an off-centre entrance accessed by three slate steps, alongside a four-pane square window, both of which have expressed timber lintels. To the right of this entrance is a stable entrance with a two-pane sliding sash window to its left, and another two-pane window tucked under the eaves, retaining some original leaded panes. The ground-floor openings have cambered heads.

Further right, there is a masonry break leading to a blocked-up entrance to a slightly advanced barn section. An open barn entrance is located to the right, featuring an exposed timber lintel and a boarded door, with two-light framed and boarded loft windows above. To the right of this entrance, there are two tiers of ventilation slits. At the lower end of the range, there is a stepped-down three-bay block with two stable entrances and a full-height open end bay. Above the stable doors, there is a square framed light, and the end bay has vertical wooden boarding. The lower gable end includes an upper loading bay, and this section has an outshut at the rear with a corrugated iron roof and a boarded door on the north return. To the right of this area, a flight of stone steps leads up to an upper entrance with a boarded door set within a shallow gabled dormer.

Inside the brewhouse section, there is an internal stack with a fireplace, although its chimney has been removed. It features a timber bressummer and a wash boiler. To the right, there is an internal rubble partition wall with a framed loading bay, and a partly-boarded loft is located in the end bay on the right.
