Description
Oldham's Bakery is a tall, single-bay building that stands three storeys high and features a medieval-style facade from the 1860s, topped with a slate roof. The structure is made of red brick, accented with decorative bands and motifs in yellow stock brick, and has a stepped gable. The ground floor has a simple shop front from the early 20th century, while the upper floors extend out over the pavement, supported by two columns with Early English capitals.
On the first floor, there is a shallow rectangular bay that includes a plain central sash window, flanked by narrower windows with cusped wooden heads. The hipped roof above this bay has a design that mimics black and white vertical framing. The second floor features a plain sash window with a blind pointed-arched head, decorated with counter-changed patterns and voussoirs. A brick lateral chimney is located on the left side of the building.
The interior was not inspected during the survey conducted in November 1999.
