Description

The Child's Chest Tomb at the Church of St Saeran is a small rectangular tomb made of sandstone. It features a tombstone with a relief-carved guilloche border. Each side of the tomb has two round-arched shallow niches, which have grooved decoration in the spandrels, while the ends have single-arched niches. The tombstone includes a memorial inscription dedicated to Martha, the daughter of Charles Lloyd of Cwm Meyin in Flintshire, who was born in April 1695 and died in March 1697.
