Description
The Chest Tomb at the Church of St Saeran is a rectangular sandstone structure featuring a moulded tombstone. It has three relief-carved roundels on each of the long sides and single roundels at each end. The central roundel on the north side displays a carved crown with crossed trumpets, while the corresponding roundel on the south side features a skull and cross-bones motif. The tombstone includes a memorial inscription dedicated to Elizabeth and John Simon, children of John Simon of Glan Clwyd, who passed away in 1730 and 1738, respectively.
