Description
Gallt-y-Coed is an elegant three-storey Georgian house dating from the 18th century. It features a symmetrical three-bay facade made of squared and coursed limestone blocks, topped with a slate roof that has a brick chimney on the left side. The central entrance is marked by a moulded wooden doorcase with a simple cornice and plain pilasters, leading to a six-panel door with fielded upper panels and a plain rectangular overlight. The ground and first floors have twelve-pane unhorned sash windows, although the outer windows on the first floor have had their glazing bars removed. The second floor contains nine-pane unhorned sash windows, all adorned with flat arches and projecting stone sills. The interior was not inspected during the survey.
