Description
The former barber shop is a mid-18th century Georgian building that features a symmetrical two-storey front with three windows, showcasing a particularly attractive design. The exterior is constructed with Flemish bond brickwork, which includes decorative voussoirs, and is complemented by ashlar rusticated quoins, a cornice, a cill band, and a plinth. The building has a slate roof and brick chimney stacks.
It has 12-pane sash windows, although the glazing bars have been removed from the lower sashes on the ground floor. The central entrance features a plain doorcase with a swept-out cornice and panelled double doors. The end walls are made of rubble, and there is a cross range at the rear that also includes small pane sash windows.
