Description
The tomb group in St Bridget's Churchyard consists of a collection of tombstones arranged in three ranks, which may have originally been part of a larger group. The main group features four tombs aligned north-south, two of which are highlighted by arched hoods. In addition to these, there is one tomb to the west and one to the east, bringing the total to six tombs in the currently identifiable group. All the tombs are made of sandstone and have ledger stones raised on arches or balusters. There are also other balusters of a similar style preserved in the church, which may have come from lost tombs in this group. Due to illegibility, it is unclear if any other existing tombs are logically connected to this group.
