Description
Orville House, along with Rosewood Cottage and Salop House, forms a group of three picturesque cottages. These two-storey cottages are symmetrical and feature three windows, with the central cottage slightly set back. They are roughcast and topped with slate roofs, which have central brick ridge stacks. The upper storey is supported by projecting brackets to give the appearance of timber framing. Most windows are late 20th-century plain-glazed wooden casements.
Orville House has a prominent full-height gabled bay at the center, adorned with scalloped barge boards. The entrance features a late 20th-century half-glazed door, and the stack is roughcast. There are no openings on the south gable end. At the rear, there is a catslide roof, with a single top-hung light on each storey of the south end. To the left, there is a modernized house. The interior has not been seen.
