Description

Pont Corwen Bridge is a significant structure featuring roughly coursed and squared stonework. It spans the river with four main arches, complemented by an additional lower arch to the south and very low side arches at either end, with the northern side being dry. The segmental arches are constructed with roughly shaped voussoirs and rough projecting hood moulds. Cutwaters are present between the principal arches. The parapet is made from a smaller grade of stone and has rough flat copings. Additionally, a long retaining wall with stacked stone copings supports the road bed on the southwest side.
