Description
The Terrace is a two-storey building constructed from rusticated coursed and squared rubble with freestone dressings and a slate roof featuring stone axial stacks with decorated caps. The structure consists of a balanced 17-window range arranged in a pattern of 1-3-10-3-1. The three-window sections at each end are slightly advanced and include a central entrance flanked by canted bay windows on the ground floor. This rhythm is echoed across the main part of the terrace. The doors feature overlights and entablature hoods supported by brackets, while the bay windows, which have 4-pane sashes, are topped with slate roofs. The upper windows are also 4-pane sashes, set within a continuous sill band and impost band, with decorative lintels cut into the band. The outermost bays are recessed and include 4-panelled doors and 4-pane sash windows in the projecting lower storey, with entablature hoods above the windows. A decorative ironwork balustrade adorns the flat roof. On the ground floor, there is an archway on the right side leading to the rear, while a similar feature on the left side is blocked. The front gardens are enclosed by decorative cast iron railings atop low stone plinth walls.
