Description
The former mill and store consists of two parallel buildings that were not constructed as a single unit. The mill appears to be the older of the two, as one of its openings is blocked by the adjacent structure. The mill features roughly squared boulder walling and a random slate roof, with a coped gable only on the upper elevation. There is a doorway with a roughly dressed lintel on the gable end and a small window on the return wall. The mill is a longer range with a lower roofline, built against sloping ground, which means it is accessed at a lower level along its long side.
Although only partially inspected, the wheel chamber still contains an undershot wheel that is fed by an earthenware pipe. Both buildings have 19th-century sawn timber trusses.
