Description

The Picton Jones Monument is a tomb constructed from coarse-grained granite. It is designed in the shape of a sarcophagus that stands on a moulded base. The sides of the tomb slope outward and rise to a Doric entablature topped with a moulded capstone, featuring cushion rolls at each end. The inscriptions on the sides have eroded over time, but it was erected in memory of Llewelyn Picton-Jones of Yoke House (Ty Iocws). The date is no longer legible. Additionally, two brass plates have been added to commemorate later members of the family.
