Description
Ty-gwyn is a house that is set parallel to the street. It features limewashed rubble built on boulder foundations, topped with a slate roof. The building has one storey with attics and a three-unit plan. The front is asymmetrical, with a stable-type door located to the left of the center. It has horizontally sliding sash windows with small panes and three small gabled dormers above, each containing 2-light casement windows. There are large rendered gable stacks, and at the rear, there are various modern extensions. A small cowhouse is attached to the eastern gable end.
During the inspection, the interior was not accessible. However, records from the Royal Commission on the Historical Monuments of England from 1959 indicate that there is a cross passage extending from the front to a rear door. On the left side, there is a post and panel partition that likely separates an original parlour. The main cross beams are cased, and the roof trusses feature pegged curved collars and rough purlins.
