Description
This is a Grade II listed mausoleum featuring a circular tower constructed from coursed local rubble. The base of the tower is slightly battered and it narrows above the cornice at the ground floor. At the top, there are three dressed stone windows with segmental arches, and to the south, there is a dressed stone gateway with a 4-centred arch.
Inside, there is a brick-vaulted central lobby that includes a winding stone staircase on the left. To the right, a round-headed arch leads into a flat-roofed perimeter passage, which connects to a cruciform chamber on the ground floor. Although the original design intended for a second-floor chapel, it now features a plain octagonal chamber with a groined vault.
