Description
The Telford Milestone at the drive entrance to Bron Castell is made of dressed Anglesey limestone and dates from the early 19th century. It features a shallow triangular head with raking chamfered sides. There is a cast iron inset plate with white lettering on a black background that reads: HOLY-/ HEAD / 25 / MONA / 12 / C. CURIG / 14M - 3F. This plate also has the date 2003 at the top, indicating it is one of a series of replacements made as part of a conservation program in that year. A benchmark is present on the stone below the plate.
