Ardd Las / Efail Rhos

Ardd Las, also known as Efail Rhos, is a cottage and former smithy dating from the 18th century. The building is pebbledashed and features a single slate roof with three pebbledashed chimneys, two located on the ridge and one at the left end. The cottage section on the left has a 6-pane sash window on each side of a framed ledged door. The smithy section includes a metal window and large double doors, with a stable door to the right.

The interior of the cottage has seen little alteration since the early 20th century. It includes ladder access to the loft, which has a door fitted with blacksmith-made hinges. There is a large fireplace with an iron grate and two doors in a painted timber partition beneath the loft.
