Description
Y Gegin Fawr is a house made of whitewashed rubble stone, featuring a renewed roof covered with small greenish slates. It has squat whitewashed stone end stacks with dripstones, and a larger stack on the right side. The building is one and a half storeys tall and has a double-fronted design that is offset to the left.
On the upper level, there are two 4-pane sash windows located above the eaves in stone dormers, which have slightly pitched roofs and slated sides. The ground floor includes two windows; the one on the left is boarded up, while the right features a small 16-pane sash window. In the center, there is a 20th-century glazed door.
To the left of the main house, there is a flat-roofed outbuilding that has a ground floor door and outside stone steps leading to a 20th-century loft door. Although the building has been altered, it retains a wide fireplace at the right end, with a recess that may have been used for a winding stair adjacent to it.
