Description
Hammels at Llwydiarth Esgob Farm is a 5-bay hammel range built in two distinct phases. It features rubble walls and a hipped roof covered with small slates, topped with a tiled ridge. The original structure, which combines a hammel and a cartshed, is located on the right (north) side. It has a wide hammel door on the left, a narrower door on the right, and a wide cart door on the right return, with single ventilation slits on either side. The openings are adorned with stone voussoir heads.
On the left side, there is an additional 4-bay extension, which includes brick arched openings supported by coursed stone piers, along with a narrow door on the left return. The hammels open into a stone-walled hammel yard. The roof of the 4-bay extension is supported by kingpost trusses with struts.
