Description
25-27 Wexham Street is a pair of late Georgian style houses that are 2½ stories tall and have two bays. The houses feature pebble-dashed walls, a slate roof, and a shared brick chimney stack. The entrances are located in the outer bays, with No 25 having a modern replacement door and No 27 featuring a half-glazed panel door, both of which are topped by narrow overlights. The windows are 16-pane hornless sashes, although the windows in No 25 have been replaced. No 25 retains a flat roof dormer, while No 27 has a skylight. The buildings date back to the 18th century and originally had two-storey cottage characteristics with two sash windows, each with glazing bars. The door for No 25 has two vertical moulded panels, while No 27 has four moulded panels, and both houses have a sliding sash dormer with slated cheeks.
