Description
The Barn at Plas Tregayan is a three-bay threshing barn constructed from rubble masonry, dating back to an unspecified period. The main facade faces an enclosed cobbled courtyard to the northwest and features dressed coursed stone with a slightly advanced plinth and eaves course. It has wide opposing doorways topped with shallow basket arched heads, which include slightly advanced keystones and chamfered jambs, alongside flanking ventilation slits. The barn is topped with a shallow pitched gable roof made of large slates arranged in diminishing courses.
At the rear, there is a modern agricultural lean-to addition with a profiled roof supported by timber and metal uprights. Inside, the roof structure includes two king post trusses, but the floor was not visible during the survey.
