Description

The Almond Valley Viaduct, situated partly within Kirkliston Parish in Midlothian, was constructed in 1842. It is a substantial railway viaduct characterised by 36 high, segmental arches. The structure is built using rock-faced stone courses, with dressed stone used for the parapet.
