Description
The bridge over the River Fillan at Drochaid Bhan in Dalrigh is an impressive rubble stone structure, likely dating from the 18th century. It is situated a short distance east of the hamlet of Dalrigh and features three segmental-arched spans, with the inner span being wider than the outer ones, supported by cutwater piers. This bridge is part of the 1748-53 Stirling to Fort William military road constructed by Caulfield, making it an important landmark in the landscape and a significant reminder of the engineering skills used in the creation of this highway.
