Station Master's House, Ardlui

The Station Master's House in Ardlui, likely designed by Robert Wemyss in 1894, is a single-storey, square-plan building that once served as the residence for the station master. It features a construction of whinstone and harl, with red sandstone margins and dressing, chamfered reveals, and a base course. The house has projecting eaves and exposed rafters.

On the main entrance elevation, there is a narrow door located at the center, which is modern with an upper panel that is glazed. To the left of the door, there is a sandstone plaque displaying the 1894 datestone.

The side elevations are symmetrically arranged with two bipartite windows. At the rear, there is a lean-to outshot. The windows are timber sash and case, with four panes over plate glass. The roof is covered with grey slate and has a piended design, topped with a lead finial and a coped rendered ridge stack.
