Description
Burnside is an early to mid-19th century cottage, facing west with three bays. It is a single-storey building constructed of whitewashed rubble. A central door is accessed by a porch, and the windows are of modern design. The cottage has end chimney stacks and a corrugated iron roof. A single-storey, single-bay wing projects from the rear.
Nearby, a small, free-standing byre is situated close to the west gable of the cottage and in line with it. The byre has a door in its west-facing elevation, a small window at the rear, and a corrugated iron roof. Burnside and its byre are located within the Cairngorms National Park.
