Description

The Bridge of Buchaam, built in 1858 by John Willet, is a road bridge spanning the River Don. It features two wide semi-elliptical arches made of heavy rusticated voussoirs. The bridge has a central cutwater and paired outer piers that rise from broad pilaster buttresses, along with plain railings. The structure is constructed from bullfaced masonry with red sandstone dressings and includes a roll-moulded course at the base of the parapet.
