Description
This is a group value building, one of a range of cottages built as part of the Deanston Mill complex. The cottages date to the late 19th century, likely around the 1890s, when the mill was expanded. The cottages are built in a simple, functional style reflecting their purpose as housing for mill workers. They are two-storey structures, constructed of roughly coursed, hammer-dressed, pale grey sandstone ashlar. The roof is pitched, slate-covered, with overhanging eaves. The windows are timber sash windows, and the cottages retain their original character. The cottages form a row and contribute to the group value of the Deanston Mill complex.
