The exterior features rock-faced snecked rubble with band courses. The front has two windows, which are bipartites, situated between advanced ends that include a canted bay. To the right, there are two floors with a ground floor canted bay that has a balustraded parapet. The entrance porch, which is segmentally pedimented, is located in the right-hand re-entrant angle. The elevation facing St Ninians Road has an advanced left-hand section with a canted bay and a triangular pedimented porch in the re-entrant angle, with sculptured tympana on both porches. The roof is piended, broad-eaved, and slated, featuring ball finials, although one is missing.
