Description
8 Baker Street in Stirling is an early 19th century, three-storey, three-bay terraced tenement that features a shop on the ground floor and a pend. The building is constructed with painted ashlar and has painted render at the ground level. It includes a base course, a fascia band, an eaves band, and projecting cills.
The south elevation facing Baker Street has four bays at the ground level, with a shop door that has a fanlight, flanked by 19th century shop windows. There is a pend entrance on the outer right side next to the adjoining property. The upper floors have regular fenestration, with smaller windows on the second floor.
The windows are timber sash and case with 12-pane glazing, and the roof is covered with graded grey slates. There is a stack in the west gable with three terracotta cans, and a mutual stack in the east gable that serves the adjoining property.
