Description

The stable courtyard at Blair Drummond House comprises two phases of development, the southern court dating from circa 1835 and the northern courtyard added in 1871. This later courtyard includes a clock tower set into an angle. The architecture is described as snecked rubble in a baronial style, designed by J.C. Walker. Estate office plans from June 1870 and subsequent proposals document the design process. The stables have been partially converted to piggery use.
