Description

1 Queens Road in Stirling is a detached villa built in 1863 by Francis and William Mackison. This two-storey building features coursed rubble stonework and a central gabled dormer head, which is flanked by gablets at the outer bays, all of which are elaborately decorated with bargeboarding. The ground floor has a canted bay with patterned slating and a platformed roof on the left side, while the right side has a bipartite window. The entrance is marked by an architraved doorpiece with linked hood-moulding, and the villa has a slated roof and flanking screen walls.
