Description
This is a small, rectangular wash house constructed of red sandstone rubble and covered by a piended slate roof. The building has symmetrical elevations and is blind to the rear and sides, built directly over a burn which it bridges. It was formerly powered by a wind pump. The wash house was in poor condition in 1992. To the east of the wash house, an avenue of trees leads to a pair of gatepiers, likely marking a former drive that is now disused. The statutory address is Finnich Malise Wash House over Burn to East of Walled Garden.
