Description

St Madoc's Episcopal Church, located on George Street in Doune, was designed by architect James Brooks from London and completed in 1877. This church features a nave and chancel without aisles, along with an organ loft and vestry. The building is constructed of rubble, with a bull-faced interior, and it boasts a wooden barrel roof in the nave and a three-bay quadripartite vaulted chancel. Inside, there is an original stone pulpit and altarpiece, both of which are very finely detailed. The churchyard is marked by octagonal gatepiers.
