Description
The Argaty Swimming Pool and Pavilion is a complex of buildings constructed between the 19th and 20th centuries, originally associated with Argaty House. The central section, designed in 1920-23 by Stewart & Paterson, is a two- and three-storey baronial building. This connects to an older house of simple vernacular design to the north, and a section dating from around 1840 to the south. A bold circular tower and a western part in the manner of D. Bryce were added around 1860. In 2011, the building suffered fire damage and is now complete to wallhead but roofless, with no interior remaining.
