5 Bank Street, Stirling

52 Spittal Street is a possibly 17th-century, two-storey, three-bay terraced corner house situated on sloping ground. The exterior is harled and whitewashed, featuring ashlar margins, with a single-storey addition that has a painted render finish.

On the east elevation facing Bank Street, there is a timber door at the center with a three-pane fanlight above it. There is a small window above the door, a small window at ground level in the bay to the right, and a larger window at ground level to the left, which has a door flanking it on the outer left. The first floor is symmetrical.

The north elevation facing Spittal Street retains its original gable to the left, with a small window to the right at ground level and a window to the right on the first floor. The rear features a single-storey addition with a recessed shop front entrance.

The building has replacement multi-pane modern windows and a steeply pitched roof covered with graded grey slate. There are chimney stacks in both the north and south gables, each with two cans.

The interior has been much altered.
