Description

Carbeth Guthrie House is a small 2-storey and basement mansion built in 1817, featuring three bays. The house was altered and likely deepened in plan in 1855 by John Baird Senior, with further additions made in 1878.

The main elevation showcases a Greek Doric porch and architraved windows, with the ground floor windows adorned with consoled cornices. The other elevations have become asymmetrical and include canted bays.

Inside, parts of the house are wainscotted from the early 20th century, and there is a Neo-Adam drawing-room. The property also includes a small formal garden associated with the house.
